Boxing: Juan Manuel Marquez versus Manny Pacquiao II

Wow. I'm watching the Marquez-Pacquiao rematch, four years in the making, and it's a stone-cold classic. Into the tenth round and it's anyone's to win. Both of them cut, both of them giving their best. The first one was a classic, too--Marquez knocked down three times in the first round, but came back to fight to a draw. You have to have respect for these guys. They train for half a year and give up their lives and they get into the best physical shape of practically anyone on the planet. At this weight class, the best of the best are not just about brute strength but about outstanding skill.I think Pacquiao will win on the basis of an early knockdown, but my heart's with Marquez. He's committed to the body punches, he's not been afraid to engage with Pacquiao, a bona-fide power puncher. No one comes out of this fight the lesser, no matter who actually wins.Update: It's over, I'm waiting for the decision, but it should be called a draw. A definite candidate for Fight of the Year thus far. Amazing skill and determination....Well, as it turns out Pacquaio won, but I still think it should have been a draw.
