Tucson, Arizona

Never been to Arizona before. First impressions: vague memories of Clarion at San Diego, but decidely different, too. Lots of cactus. Didn't realize how that would affect the landscape. Mountains in the distance--just beautiful. I expect all of my reactions will be childlike and somewhat jejune simply because I'm experiencing it for the first time.This is going to be quite the experience--librarians, workshop, cool terrain, hopefully the Desert Museum, radio show thingee, and, very intriguing, Clarion student is a roller derby girl! So that's what we get to see tonight! Never experienced roller derby, so very excited!jeff
